The Komacut online interactive platform offers on-demand manufacturing and makes it easy for customers to get instant quotes, instant manufacturability feedback, online product customization, price transparency, and purchase order monitoring. By providing a fully realized, production ready drawing and specification directly to the factory through our quotation and DFM process, this shortens the time needed for lengthy back and forth on part design and optimization and puts your part directly in the queue for sheet metal part production. This results in shorter lead times and faster shipment than a traditional manufacturing system.
There are a variety of bending techniques available. Some are more accurate and others simpler, but each has its own advantages. The major CNC bending techniques when bending steel or other materials include air bending and bottom bending. Komacut in its steel bending factory utilizes air bending to create precision sheet metal parts quickly and with a high level of repeatability.
At Komacut, depending on customer’s specifications and the part application / geometry, we use a variety of standard materials stocked in our facility or available within days from a qualified vendor: hot rolled steel (Q235, Q275), cold rolled steel (SPCC, SAPH440), aluminum (6061, 5052, 6063) and stainless steel (304, 316, 201, 430).
For CNC sheet bending, we can achieve angular tolerances of +/- 0.5 degree, and XYZ tolerances of ±0.2 mm. Please note that this is for a single bend – depending on the point of reference for the bend, multiple bends will result in an added dimensional / angular tolerance for each bend.
